Key Qualifications:
- Active Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license in the state of California
- Previous experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing highly valued
- Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) are preferred
- Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities
- Passion for fostering academic and social development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support to deaf/hard of hearing students in a self-contained setting
- Adapt curriculum to individual student needs and monitor progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
- Utilize technology and assistive devices to optimize access to learning
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere
