DHH Teacher | Rancho Cordova, California

Key Qualifications:
- Active Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) License in California is required
- Prior experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt instructional strategies
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized accommodations
- Commitment to providing an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained classroom of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Implement differentiated lesson plans and instructional materials to meet students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, interpreters, and other educators
- Assess student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth for each learner
- Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and educational partners
