This is a contract position offering 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, located near Cheshire, MA.

Ideal candidates bring specialized expertise in serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, creating inclusive and accessible learning environments, and collaborating with other professionals and families to ensure every student thrives.

Qualifications:
• Current Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification for Massachusetts
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and accommodations for D/HH students
• Experience teaching or supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in K-12 settings
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct instruction to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies for optimal student engagement and success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families
• Monitor student progress and assist with IEP development and implementation
• Maintain a welcoming and accessible classroom environment
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students’ social and emotional well-being
