Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
- Experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of assistive technologies and accommodations for students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and contribute actively to multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other related service providers
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals; maintain accurate records
- Offer guidance to staff and families on best practices and accessible learning strategies
- Utilize appropriate technology and resources to enhance accessibility and student participation
