What we're looking for:
- Current, active Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license issued by the state of California
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
- Understanding of self-contained classroom structures and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments
In this role, you will:
- Deliver tailored instruction to a diverse group of students in a self-contained classroom
- Adapt lessons and instructional techniques to meet each student’s unique needs
- Participate in the IEP process, collaborating closely with families, staff, and related service providers
- Assess student progress and document outcomes to ensure academic milestones are met
- Serve as an advocate and resource within the school community for students with hearing loss
