Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching credential authorizing service as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in K-12 settings
- Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to facilitate communication between students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
- Foster an accessible, engaging learning environment
- Consult with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators
- Support students in academic, language, and social development
- Engage families as partners in their children’s education
