This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week supporting a K-12 caseload in an engaging educational environment. You'll work closely with students, families, and staff to help meet each learner’s unique communication and academic needs, making a lasting difference in their school experience.
What you bring:
- Credentialed experience as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), or Teacher - Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practices and assistive technology for students with hearing differences
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Confidence in designing and delivering individualized instruction and accommodations across grade levels (K-12)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
What your days will include:
- Providing direct instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various subjects and grade levels
- Developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and adjusting strategies to meet students’ evolving needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers and specialists to facilitate a fully inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Advocating for accessibility and resources to empower student independence and self-advocacy
- Offering guidance to staff and families regarding language development, classroom modifications, and communication tools
