Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Olivehurst, CA

Key Requirements and Experience:
- Credentialed Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students with a range of hearing abilities
- Familiarity with cochlear implants and effective strategies for student integration and support
- Ability to manage a caseload and travel between sites as needed
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Dedication to providing on-site services (no remote work for this position)
Role Highlights:
- Deliver direct, specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments across different schools within the county
- Design lesson plans and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Consult and collaborate with families, educators, and related service professionals
- Support the inclusion of students with cochlear implants and utilize technology to enhance learning
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress
- Advocate for students to support their academic and social success
