Desired Qualifications:
- Alaska teaching license (active or pending) with relevant credentials for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction; please supply copies or numbers for your current license and Type C certification
- Experience supporting deaf and hard of hearing students in school settings
- Expertise in developing and adapting curriculum to student needs and IEP goals
- Strong advocacy, communication, and collaboration skills within diverse teams
- Willingness to travel onsite, with reimbursement provided
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 10 students, ranging from elementary to high school
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in consultation with families and staff
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure accessible and individualized learning experiences
- Facilitate communication and social-emotional development using appropriate accommodations and strategies
- Engage in ongoing progress monitoring and adjust support as needed to maximize student growth and success
