Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Manage a caseload of up to 40 students, ensuring each receives individualized attention and resources
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and support staff to promote student success across multiple sites
- Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to align with students’ unique needs
- Utilize technological tools and remote platforms to engage virtual learners when applicable
- Offer consultation and in-service training to staff on best practices and accommodations for deaf and hard of hearing students
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience in a school-based setting with adolescent or high school-aged students
- Strong understanding of itinerant service models and ability to work independently across locations
- Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities preferred
- Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills
- Enthusiastic about using technology to support distance or virtual instruction when needed
