Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California PPS credential with Deaf/Hard of Hearing authorization (TDHH)
- Experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in educational settings
- Knowledge of strategies for individualized instruction, language development, and classroom accommodations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Adaptability to meet diverse student needs
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct teaching and consultative services to students with hearing impairments across K–12 grade levels
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and instructional methods
- Conduct assessments and contribute to IEPs, progress monitoring, and data-driven educational planning
- Equip students with self-advocacy and communication strategies suited to their individual needs
- Support and engage with families to ensure successful home-school partnerships
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
- Caseload consists of 7 students, ensuring opportunities for personalized instruction
