Teacher of the Deaf in Falmouth, KY

What’s needed:
- Valid Kentucky Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
- Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school setting
- Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort using technology for virtual meetings (Zoom required for interviews)
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing direct instruction to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, both individually and in groups
- Consulting with general education teachers and staff to foster accessible, inclusive classrooms
- Supporting the development and implementation of IEPs tailored to each student’s goals
- Offering resources and guidance to families to support learning at home
- Keeping documentation and records in accordance with district and state requirements
