Your qualifications and desired experience:
- Hold a valid Kentucky Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
- Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in educational settings
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and assistive technology for hearing support
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, compassionate, and committed to supporting diverse learning needs
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with educators and school staff on accommodations, modifications, and inclusion strategies
- Participate in IEP creation, updates, and progress monitoring as needed
- Support the use of amplification devices and accessible technologies in the classroom
- Consult with families and team members to ensure student success
