Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education certification in Hearing Impairment (HI)
- Experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a school-based setting
- Comprehensive understanding of instructional strategies for students with hearing loss
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and classroom environment for diverse needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with assistive technology for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver adapted instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, ensuring their inclusion in classroom activities
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school teams to provide resources and strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed
- Create engaging, accessible learning materials and classroom environments
