What We’re Looking For:
- Certification and experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Background supporting students at both elementary and secondary levels
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for varying ages and proficiency levels
- Skilled at collaborating with paraprofessionals, fellow educators, and school support staff
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working across an entire district, serving multiple school communities
- Open to engaging in both in-person and virtual education environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing loss across the district
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals assigned to your caseload
- Develop individualized educational plans and modify curriculum as needed
- Consult and partner with classroom teachers to promote accessible, inclusive learning
- Offer training and resources to school staff regarding hearing assistive technology and accessibility
- Maintain record-keeping and progress reports in compliance with district guidelines
- Adapt to changing needs and assignments within elementary and secondary school settings
