Teacher of the Deaf in Pittsfield, MA

Qualifications:
- Certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Experience working in K-12 public school environments preferred
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
- Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, paraeducators, and related service professionals
- Strong communication skills; comfortable providing consultation and direct support to students and staff
- Adaptable, with willingness to travel between elementary and secondary sites within the district
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with hearing loss across a variety of subjects and ages
- Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive classroom practices
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal-setting, and maintain detailed progress records
- Provide training and support to staff regarding assistive technology and communication strategies
- Travel between sites as needed; manage and prioritize a varied caseload efficiently
- Utilize virtual platforms for instruction, if participating in VOCO/remote model
