You will connect with students via VOCO, delivering individualized and group instruction tailored to their unique learning styles and communication needs. With a full-time schedule of 35 hours a week (7-hour days plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), you will collaborate with school staff and families to help each learner thrive throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Louisiana DOE Certificate
- Valid teacher certification in your state of residence
- Proven experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Ability to engage effectively in a virtual classroom setting
- Commitment to professional and timely communication
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct virtual instruction for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Adapt materials and instructional methods to meet individual communication needs
- Track student progress, maintain records, and attend virtual meetings as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure student success
