Teacher of the Deaf in Trona, CA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid credential or certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Previous experience working directly with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Skill in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
- Strong commitment to fostering communication and language development
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including families, therapists, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, onsite instruction to a student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Design and implement lessons that align with student-specific educational goals
- Modify and adapt materials to ensure accessibility in all learning environments
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff to monitor progress and address educational needs
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
