Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Ridgecrest, California

Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or credential for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (state credential preferred)
- Prior experience within a school setting as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is strongly valued
- Commitment to individualized education: skilled at adapting curriculum and communication strategies for varying abilities
- Ability to work 1:1 and flexibility to adjust focus as caseload evolves
- Strong communication skills for effective partnership with educators, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment encouraging student engagement and participation
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to provide accommodations and modifications
- Support the social-emotional growth of students by promoting self-advocacy and independence
- Utilize relevant technology and resources to facilitate understanding and access
This position is onsite with a consistent schedule of 15 hours weekly, running from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. As caseload details may shift, adaptability will be key. You’ll help shape student success stories throughout the academic year.
