Essential Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential/certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Prior school-based experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in DHH instruction, including accessibility supports and assistive technology
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored, high-quality educational services to a Deaf/Hard of Hearing student(s) as identified by the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement strategies maximizing student participation and academic progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, IEP compliance, and ongoing communication with educational teams
- Provide advocacy, accommodations, and resources ensuring student access to curriculum and school activities
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
This contract begins August 6, 2026 and continues through May 27, 2027, with approximately 15 hours per week onsite. You'll be working closely with one student for now, with potential for additional caseload details post-spring break.
