Make a significant impact supporting high school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a contract-based, itinerant role. This opportunity allows you to work with up to 40 students across various settings and provides the flexibility to work virtually if preferred. You’ll collaborate with students to access curriculum and develop communication, literacy, and self-advocacy skills—empowering them to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience supporting high-school-aged students with hearing loss
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and assistive technologies
  • Ability to manage a flexible, itinerant caseload
  • Comfort with virtual platforms (if remote work is chosen)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with student IEP goals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor adaptations to classroom environments and curriculum
  • Utilize and support hearing assistive technology and communication strategies
  • Collaborate with general educators, families, and related service providers
  • Track student progress, maintain student records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Travel between sites as needed (if working onsite) or manage virtual student contacts
