Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Los Angeles, CA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching credential with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K-12 environment
- Strong knowledge of auditory/oral, sign language, and total communication modalities
- Commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative teaming
- Excellent communication skills, both with students and professional colleagues
- Familiarity with adapting curriculum and using assistive technologies to facilitate learning
- Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students with hearing differences
- Assess student needs and develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success

- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings and professional development
