Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (required)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with hearing challenges in educational settings
- Proficiency in sign language (ASL or other relevant forms)

- Ability to adapt instructional materials and methodologies for diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, families, and allied school staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and instructional strategies
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Monitor student progress, assess language and communication development, and adjust instruction as necessary
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and help promote hearing accessibility school-wide
- Encourage social and academic inclusion for all students
