Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Peabody, MA

Key Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Massachusetts TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) credential
- Strong background in developing and delivering tailored support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across a range of ages and developmental stages
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to create effective learning environments
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to track student progress
- Experience with direct and consultative service delivery preferred
- Adaptable, communicative, and compassionate approach
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instructional support and consultation to students from Pre-K to age 22, focusing primarily on consultative services
- Work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote full participation and access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Adapt curriculum and learning materials to support diverse communication needs and educational goals
- Contribute to IEP development and implement IEP goals, tracking progress and documenting services
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and staff on best practices, assistive technology, and communication strategies
- Maintain regular communication with teams and participate in meetings as needed
