Teacher of the Deaf in Pottstown, PA

Key Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania Deaf and Hard of Hearing K-12 Licensure (Instructional I or II)
- Experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing highly preferred
- Strong understanding of various communication modalities and differentiated instructional strategies
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners
- Ability to adapt quickly to multiple school settings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ready availability for interviews on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday
Duties Will Include:
- Providing direct instruction, support, and advocacy for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade
- Traveling between school campuses to deliver individualized and small group services
- Consulting with classroom teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and specialized strategies
- Developing, maintaining, and tracking Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Leveraging technology and assistive devices to enhance learning outcomes
- Communicating effectively with families and team members to support each student’s progress
