Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Queen Creek, Arizona
Seeking a skilled professional certified as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to support K-5 students in a growing elementary school setting in Queen Creek, AZ. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing specialized instruction and support one day per month, with the potential to increase based on student enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational services to students with hearing impairments across grades Kindergarten through 5th.
- Collaborate with school staff and specialized support personnel to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional methods to individual needs.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDDHH) certification.
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children with hearing impairments preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Role Details:
- Location: Queen Creek, Arizona.
- Employment Type: Part-time contractual engagement.
- Hours: One day per month to start, flexibility to increase.
- Caseload: One elementary school (K-5).
- Supervision and support provided by on-site specialized staff (paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs or LPNs).
