Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Rancho Cordova, CA

Qualifications:
- Current California Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License is required
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents (K-12) in educational settings
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, adaptable for diverse learning needs
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative approach when partnering with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instructional support to students identified as deaf or hard of hearing across all grade levels
- Adapt lessons and materials for various levels of hearing loss and communication preferences, including sign language, auditory/oral, or total communication approaches
- Assess student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to align student goals and support services
- Act as a resource for staff and families, promoting awareness and best practices
In this role, you’ll work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from ASAP until the end of the school year.
