Qualifications:
- Active California Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License required
- Background working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
- Strong communication skills for both collaborative and independent teaching settings
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored lessons to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and support services to design Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize technology and innovative resources to facilitate accessible learning
- Provide strategies and accommodations that support each student's communication and learning styles
- Monitor student progress, maintaining detailed documentation and ongoing communication with stakeholders
- Support inclusion and advocacy within the school community for students with hearing differences
This contract position begins immediately and continues through the end of the school year, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday.
