Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - On-site position - San Antonio, TX
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Teachers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for full-time school-based contract openings in San Antonio, Texas for the 2026/2027 school year. Multiple on-site positions are available at both elementary/middle and high school levels.
Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Deliver core academic instruction (including Math and English, depending on assignment)
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
• Support student access to curriculum through appropriate communication methods, including ASL
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain accurate documentation and student progress monitoring
Requirements:
• Active Educator Certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or related field required (Master’s preferred)
• Strong ASL fluency required (demonstration required during interview)
• Prior school-based experience preferred
• Must provide copies of certifications/licenses and references at submission
