Schedule: 35 Hours per Week | On-Site Only
Contract Dates: August 12, 2026 – May 26, 2027

Job Overview:
San Antonio ISD is actively seeking two qualified Teachers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the 2026–2027 school year. These on-site positions support a diverse population of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. We are looking for collaborative, well-rounded educators passionate about supporting the academic, communication, and social development of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Positions Available
Elementary or Middle School DHH Teacher

High School DHH Teacher

Content Focus Areas
Math Instruction

Core English Instruction (Certification Required)

Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs

Support communication development, language acquisition, and academic achievement

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and support staff

Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring

Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities as appropriate

Maintain accurate documentation, lesson plans, and student progress reports

Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications & Requirements
Active Texas Educator Certification (Required)

Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) (Required)

Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field (Required)

Master’s Degree preferred

Demonstrated fluency in ASL (Interview Required)

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Compensation
$50–$62/hour, based on experience
