Qualifications:
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing, or a valid California Special Education Credential authorizing the teaching of deaf and hard of hearing students
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated expertise in serving students with hearing impairments in school settings
- Strong collaborative skills to partner with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Committed to full on-site work; remote, VOCO, or hybrid arrangements are not available
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and effective accommodations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Communicate regularly with families to ensure student progress and foster positive relationships
- Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive materials to enhance learning opportunities
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain compliance with credentialing requirements
