Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility to obtain
- ASL fluency or proficiency in other communication modalities for DHH students
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Your Responsibilities:
- Adapt and deliver curriculum to meet the varied needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and accommodations
- Assess student progress and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring goals are being met
