As a contract provider, you will play a pivotal role supporting students who qualify for services, collaborating closely with educational teams and families, and ensuring best practices in individualized instruction.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid certification or eligibility to serve as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans in educational settings
  • Proficiency in using NHSEIS or other IEP management systems
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, including audiologists, SLPs, and families
  • Knowledge of assistive listening technology (hearing aids, FM systems, cochlear implants)
  • Excellent recordkeeping and data management abilities
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and compliance with state and district requirements

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing individualized instruction based on student needs and relevant evaluations
  • Contributing to the IEP development process in NHSEIS, and helping craft effective service plans
  • Coordinating and participating in IEP/504 meetings, monitoring and adapting plans as needed
  • Maintaining detailed records and progress reports to inform instruction and document growth
  • Collaborating with school staff and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Providing ongoing training to staff on hearing loss, technology, and classroom accommodations
  • Managing, troubleshooting, and ordering amplification devices for student use
  • Promoting self-advocacy skills among students for greater independence
  • Supporting compliance with all relevant policies and procedural safeguards
  • Participating actively in professional development and fulfilling all relevant staff duties
