What You'll Need:
- Valid credential as Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ideally within a school environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction and support to diverse needs, spanning ages TK to 22
- Comfort traveling between multiple school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction targeting communication, language, academic, and social development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusion and student success
- Assess student progress and develop/implement appropriate IEP goals
- Advocate for access, communication supports, and learning accommodations
- Provide consultative services, training, and resources to school teams
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with all guidelines
In this role, you will be supported by a dedicated education community and have the opportunity to work closely with students at various developmental stages. Pay for this opportunity ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
