Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or credential in Deaf Education or as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs and IEP requirements
- Proficiency with assistive listening devices and relevant instructional technologies is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, support, and advocacy for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students from TK to age 22
- Develop and implement IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Rotate between 15 school sites as needed to deliver services
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Serve as a valuable resource on Deaf culture, accessibility, and inclusion for school teams
