- Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Organizational skills and adaptability within diverse school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Assess student needs and contribute to developing and implementing IEPs
- Provide consultation and guidance to general education staff regarding accommodations and accessibility
- Utilize assistive technology and alternative communication methods effectively
- Support students’ social, academic, and emotional growth in the classroom setting
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development as needed
- Serve as a liaison among schools, students, families, and community resources
