Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide specialized instructional support to a small caseload of students across grade levels. This role focuses on ensuring students have full access to the curriculum while supporting their communication and language development in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Caseload:
-
3 students total
- 2 high school students
- 1 elementary student
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and/or consultative DHH services in accordance with IEPs
- Support students’ communication access, including auditory, visual, and language needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Adapt and modify instructional materials as appropriate
- Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with both elementary and high school students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
