Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Lawrence, Massachusetts

Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Massachusetts DHH (DESE) certification required; candidates with SPED certification and proven Teacher of the Deaf experience are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar roles in school settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams.
- Commitment to applying best practices for accessible, individualized instruction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, adapting content to each learner’s strengths and needs.
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize creative instructional strategies to foster language, literacy, and social/emotional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
