Position Overview The Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) will provide direct instruction, consultation, and support services to students with hearing impairments. Provide direct educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Utilize ASL to support communication and instruction as appropriate
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Participate in IEP meetings and assist with goal development and progress monitoring
Support the implementation of accommodations and modifications within the classroom setting
Consult with staff and families regarding student needs and effective communication strategies
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements
