- Knowledge of auditory equipment, communication methods (ASL, Signed English, etc.), and adaptive technologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with hearing loss, adapting curriculum to their unique learning styles
- Provide direct support for auditory and communication devices
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective inclusion and support strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Advocate for students’ accessibility across academic and extracurricular settings
- Serve as a resource and trainer for staff regarding best practices for supporting deaf/hard of hearing students
