As a valued educator in this setting, you’ll build strong, trusting relationships with students and families. You will foster communication, inclusion, and successful learning tailored to the unique needs of each child. Earn $50 per hour while building your expertise and supporting a welcoming and collaborative environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for certification
- Experience or comfort teaching in self-contained settings and working with students ages K-5
- Strong knowledge of deaf education strategies, assistive technologies, and individualized instruction
- Ability to differentiate lessons and cultivate a positive classroom community
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and document data
- Create a supportive, structured, and accessible classroom environment
- Work closely with classroom teams, related service providers, and families
- Advocate for students’ needs to help them succeed socially and academically
