Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Pittsfield, Massachusetts

In this role, you'll provide direct support every morning from 8:30-9:15, fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with hearing differences. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity for consultative work in the afternoons, contributing your expertise to help teachers and staff better support their students. The position averages about 5 hours per week, along with an estimated 5 hours of consultative support each month.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid credentials as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state certification or eligibility required)
- Experience working with students with hearing loss in educational settings
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse communication needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective consultation with staff and families
- A commitment to creating accessible, engaging classroom experiences
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct instructional support to students each morning
- Providing knowledgeable consultation to classroom teachers and educational teams on best practices for inclusive instruction

- Maintaining thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
