Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Demonstrated experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school environments
- Strong skills in consultation, collaboration, and advocacy on behalf of students and families
- Solid understanding of assistive technology and accommodations for hearing access
- Ability to provide expert guidance to faculty and staff regarding inclusive strategies and classroom adaptations
Responsibilities:
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective learning strategies and accommodations for three deaf/hard of hearing students
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and progress monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Advocate for student needs and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Offer training and professional development to colleagues as needed
- Document services and maintain open, effective communication with all stakeholders
