DHH Teacher | North Adams, Massachusetts

Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience providing consultative and direct services within schools
- Strong understanding of relevant educational technology, resources, and communication methods
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including general education staff
- Knowledge of current best practices, legislation, and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultation for three students, supporting their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in assessments, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation
- Advise educational staff on strategies and classroom modifications for accessibility
- Foster inclusive classroom environments and model communication strategies
- Serve as a resource for families, offering guidance and addressing their concerns as needed
- Stay current on educational trends and professional standards for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
