Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) preferred
  • Experience teaching or supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
  • Familiarity with instructional strategies and classroom technology for DHH students
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple schools as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services for DHH students across the district
  • Develop, adapt, and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support personnel, and families to ensure student success
  • Conduct assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction
  • Offer guidance and resources on the use of assistive listening devices and accessible materials
  • Support students’ language development, self-advocacy skills, and access to the curriculum
