As a valued professional, you will:
- Travel between multiple schools during assigned hours of 8am-4pm to provide direct and consultative teaching services
- Adapt curriculum and teaching techniques to meet the individualized needs of students with hearing impairments
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive practices and advocate for necessary accommodations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students, fostering independence and self-advocacy skills
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Current and active teaching licensure for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Previous experience serving students with hearing impairments is highly preferred, though not required
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to work in an itinerant capacity and ability to adapt to a variety of educational settings
