Key Qualifications:
- Hold active and current licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Prior experience teaching students with hearing impairments is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Adaptability when working across different schools and teams
- Confidence in managing a full-time caseload and planning individualized instructional strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative educational services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple campuses
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Travel between assigned schools during regular hours (8am-4pm)
- Deliver instruction using both auditory/oral and visual/manual approaches as appropriate
- Support classroom teachers with strategies and resources for inclusion
- Communicate regularly with families to support student progress
- Maintain documentation and comply with state and district requirements
