An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional to support students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in an itinerant role. This position involves working across multiple schools near Wilmington, NC, supporting a diverse student population with varying hearing needs. Hours for this full-time contract position are 8am to 4pm, allowing for rewarding work within a standard school-day schedule.

Qualifications:
- Valid and active teaching license appropriate for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Previous experience working with students with hearing impairments is highly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and travel between multiple school sites as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative educational services to students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create accessible learning environments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Monitor student progress and deliver both oral and written reports on performance and accommodations
- Offer training and support to school personnel regarding best practices for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and dynamic classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and independence
