Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Recent or prior K-12 teaching experience with DHH students is highly valued
- Comfortable with consultative roles, collaborating with general education teachers and staff
- Familiarity with individual education plans (IEP) and differentiated instruction for DHH learners
- Completion of TN fingerprinting for credentialing (district guidelines apply)
- Passion for fostering inclusive environments and supporting diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative instructional services to students K-12 as assigned
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals for DHH students in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Serve as a resource and advocate for DHH students, ensuring access to the general curriculum
- Facilitate communication and support among students, staff, and families regarding hearing technology, classroom strategies, and accommodations
- Participate in ongoing professional development and district meetings relevant to DHH education
