Working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours weekly, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to dedicated DHH hubs spanning Pre-K through Elementary, with exciting plans for a new Middle School hub.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) Certification required
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet varying student needs
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and supporting inclusive education
- Must complete required Tennessee fingerprinting and any district credentialing processes
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver consultative and direct instruction to students, building academic and social success plans individualized to each learner
- Support and collaborate with teachers, itinerant staff, and families to implement best-practice interventions and accommodations
- Travel to multiple school sites within the district, assisting students in established DHH hubs that range from pre-kindergarten through middle school
- Contribute to IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessment of student needs
- Maintain professional documentation and adhere to district guidelines
