Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Must hold an active DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) teaching certification for the state of assignment
- Prior experience working with D/HH students in a K-12 environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices, assistive technologies, and accommodations for D/HH learners
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to fit unique student and district needs
- Travel candidates must meet state licensure requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) for Deaf and hard of hearing students
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to students’ unique communication and learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster an inclusive classroom environment
- Support students’ language and literacy development through a variety of modalities and tools
- Advocate for accessible resources and accommodations to ensure student participation and growth
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development, and school activities
